About This Site

Finding a Franklin County booking photo means knowing which office controls the record and which public source covers the person’s present custody stage. This private reference brings the official roster, court, correctional, and records-request paths together. It hosts no booking-photo galleries and does not copy a stream of arrest images.

Why This Reference Exists

Indiana law makes many arrest and booking details available to the public, but no single database answers every question. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department creates county jail booking records and runs the current inmate roster. Its published roster is a text offense list without photographs. A person seeking a specific intake image must ask the sheriff for that identified record and allow the department to review access under state law.

Other agencies control later stages. Indiana MyCase carries public court filings, hearings, orders, and dispositions. The Indiana Department of Correction may publish an offender photograph for a person in state correctional custody or supervision after sentencing. Federal Bureau of Prisons and ICE tools cover their separate custody systems. We organize those official sources, explain what each one can answer, and identify the appropriate request path when no online result exists. We do not host or rehost mugshots.

Records Help Available Here

The material is arranged around common, purpose-neutral records questions:

  • The home page gives the full Franklin County mugshot, booking-record, current-roster, recent-arrest, removal-law, and records-request process.
  • Most Wanted explains the county’s warrant-check route and the difference between a court warrant and a selective wanted notice.
  • The city pages cover Brookville, Batesville, and Oldenburg, including Batesville’s two-county custody issue.
  • Search instructions distinguish the sheriff’s current text PDF, SAVIN/VINE custody alerts, MyCase court outcomes, and IDOC offender photographs.
  • Request guidance identifies the details that help the sheriff locate a booking record or photograph and explains that response and production are not the same event.

Limits of a Private Resource

This is an independently operated reference. It is not connected with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin County Security Center, Franklin County Clerk, Indiana Department of Correction, or any local, state, or federal agency. We cannot release or confirm a government record, make a custody decision, or speak for an official office.

  • We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
  • We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for anyone.
  • We cannot provide legal advice or decide whether someone qualifies for expungement.
  • We cannot guarantee that an address, phone number, fee, office hour, or web result has not changed.

Only the responsible sheriff, court, jail, corrections department, or other record custodian can confirm current custody, booked charges, release, or an official record. Links here help locate that office, but the official answer must come from the agency itself.

Search Partners

Some pages contain search boxes supplied by outside providers. Those providers set their own terms, prices, data sources, and result formats. If a search leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the public reference available without charge. We do not control a partner’s pricing, coverage, accuracy, or results, and an outside result should always be checked against the originating government office.
