This is a private reference site, not a Franklin County office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release anyone, post bond, arrange a visit, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible government office for those services.
Franklin County Records Contact
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department operates the Franklin County Security Center and controls county jail booking records. The sheriff does not publish a dedicated booking-photo request form. Contact the front office with the person’s full name, an approximate booking date, and a booking number when available. State that you seek the public intake photograph or identified booking record, ask for electronic delivery, and request a fee estimate before processing.

The correct destination depends on the question:
- For current county custody, open the sheriff’s official inmate roster, then call the department when a time-sensitive answer is not reflected.
- For a booking photo or historical jail entry, follow the focused request steps on the Franklin County records home page and send the request to the sheriff.
- For a release-status alert, use Indiana SAVIN/VINE. It reports custody changes, not the final court outcome.
- For filed charges, hearings, orders, or disposition, search Indiana MyCase and contact the Franklin County Clerk for an official court copy.
- For a possible criminal warrant, use the verification route on Most Wanted. Franklin County has no verified public criminal-warrant portal, and its “Tax Warrants” service is not a criminal search.
- For a sentenced state prisoner or offender photo, use the Indiana Department of Correction Offender Search. IDOC does not replace the county’s current roster.
- For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. For eligible immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Neither is a Franklin County arrest feed.
Brookville and Oldenburg arrests normally lead to the Franklin County Security Center, subject to another agency’s warrant or hold. Batesville crosses the Franklin and Ripley county line, so confirm the incident location, arresting agency, booking jail, and court cause number before contacting Franklin County.
